Inspirational quotes from Michael Jackson
Why quotes from Michael Jackson?
Michael has been part of my life for over 25 years now. I would like to share some of my favourite Michael Jackson quotes with you. My main sources for them are the books "Moonwalk" and "Dancing the Dream". When I started reading his book "Moonwalk" the third time after not having had it in my hand for many years, I saw that Michael and I have one thing in common. I will share this with you in the first quote:
Michael Jackson: "I've always wanted to be able to tell stories, you know, stories that came from my soul. I'd like to sit by a fire and tell people stories - make them see pictures, make them cry and laugh, take them anywhere emotionally with something as deceptively simple as words. I'd like to tell tales to move their souls and transform them."
"'Lies run sprints, but the truth runs marathons."

Michael's words
What Michael Jackson had to say
All the following quotes are from Michael Jackson:
"I can tell you there are rewards that go far beyond money and public acclaim and awards."
"Most of the time I'd be alone backstage (...) and watching the show. I mean, I really did watch every step, every move, every twist, every twirl, every grind, every emotion, every light move. That was my education and my recreation. (...) They [his brothers] would tease me about it, but I was so absorbed in what I was seeing, or in remembering what I had just seen, that I didn't care. (...) The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work. You couldn't teach a person what I've learned just standing and watching."
"No matter what age you are, if you have it and you know it, then people should listen to you."
"Change is inevitable and always good in one sense or the other."
"There was more to life than the things you could hold in your hands or see with your eyes."
"When you know something is wrong for you, you have to make difficult decisions and trust your instincts"
About dreaming and wishing
"I have always been a dreamer. I set goals for myself. I look at things and try to imagine what is possible and then hope to surpass those boundaries."
"I believe in wishes and in a person's ability to make a wish come true. I really do. Whenever I saw a sunset, I would quietly make my secret wish right before the sun tucked under the western horizon and disappeared. It would seem as if the sun had taken my wish with it. I'd make it right before that last speck of light vanished.
And a wish is more than just a wish, it's a goal. It's something your conscious and subconscious can help make reality."
More quotes
"Consciousness expresses itself through creation. This world we live in is the dance of the creator. Dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye but the dance lives on. On many an occasion when I am dancing, I have felt touched by something sacred. In those moments, I felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists.
I become the stars and the moon. I become the lover and the beloved. I become thevictor and the vanquished. I become the master and the slave. I become the singer and the song. I become the knower and the known. I keep on dancing then it is the eternal
dance or creation. The creator and creation merge into one wholeness of joy. I keep on dancing...and dancing...and dancing. Until there is only...the dance."
"I believe we are powerful, but we don't use our minds to full capacity. Your mind is powerful enough to help you attain whatever you want."
"In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe."
"The meaning of life is contained in every single expression of life. It is present in the infinity of forms and phenomena that exist in all of creation."
"People ask me how I make music. I tell them I just step into it. It's like stepping into a river and joining the flow. Every moment in the river has its song."
"Sometimes the heart is so heavy that we turn away from it and forget that its throbbing is the wisest message of life, a wordless message that says, "Live, be, move, rejoice -- you are alive!" Without the heart's wise rhythm, we could not exist."
"If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with."
"'Lies run sprints, but the truth runs marathons."
"Hope is such a beautiful word, but it often seems very fragile. Life is still being needlessly hurt and destroyed."
"We have to heal our wounded world. The chaos, despair, and senseless destruction we see today are a result of the alienation that people feel from each other and their environment."
Some more wise words
"A star can never die. It just turns into a smile and melts back into the cosmic music, the dance of life."
"To give someone a piece of your heart, is worth more than all the wealth in the world."
"And that's what innocence is. It's simple and trusting like a child, not judgmental and committed to one narrow point of view. If you are locked into a pattern of thinking and responding, your creativity gets blocked. You miss the freshness and magic of the moment. Learn to be innocent again, and that freshness never fades."
"Human knowledge consists not only of libraries of parchment and ink - it is also comprised of the volumes of knowledge that are written on the human heart, chiselled on the human soul, and engraved on the human psyche. "
"I trembled to think of a world without stars. No guide for the sailor to trust at see, no jewels to dazzle our sense of beauty [...] But all around the globe, the air is so dirty and the lights from the cities are so bright that for some people few stars can be seen anymore. A generation of children may grow up seeing a blank sky and asking, "Did there used to be stars there?"
"I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change"

Jermaine Jackson's book
I have recently read Jermaine's book and would recommend it to fans and all others alike. If you have a bad opinion about Michael, then you might want to read this book to get some better understanding of the family. It moved me and is very well written. There is a lot of new knowledge in that book, even for a fan.
